About MAMI on a Mission

How It All Started

The seed for MAMI on a Mission was planted long before the brand ever existed — back in 2011.

As a former half-marathoner, running became more than physical training; it was healing, clarity, and survival. During that season, #MAMIOnAMission became my personal declaration — a reminder that even in difficult moments, I was still moving forward with purpose.

I trained for and ran my first half marathon in Oklahoma City, the same city where I had walked away from a troubled and abusive marriage and began reclaiming my life. It was there that I began rebuilding my relationship with God and intentionally surrounded myself with strong women of faith. That season marked a rebrand of my identity — I wasn’t just starting over, I was becoming something new.

In 2022, my now husband encouraged me to take the motto that had carried me through my hardest seasons and turn it into something greater. What once fueled my personal journey became a mission created to serve women ready to reclaim, realign, and rebuild their lives through faith, purpose, and community.
